The F-371 Halberd is an atmosphere and exoatmosphere capable, four engine, twin-seat, carrier-capable air/space superiority fighter used by the UNSC Navy.

The 'Halberd' is actually an early concept art of the YSS-1000 Sabre from Halo Reach. Image slightly edited by me, copyright held by Microsoft.

Once again, I did not create this image, or do anything except cut it out/make the background transparent.

If you want to see stuff actually created by me, check out the rest of my gallery :)

Whoa this looks pretty flipping epic. I really should go through your gallery more thoroughly. Also hope you aren't disappointed with Halo 4, Broadsword was pretty good though.

It is, isn't it. The kind of rugged, utilitarian yet elegant design that Bungie/their concept artists became experts in, and that 343 industries just aren't.

I didn't colour it, it was already done, and the answer is it depends. Seeing as you don't own the copyright to the image, you can't publish it in a book or any other way from which you intend to profit. However, you can use it for non-profit purposes as long as you state that you do not own the copyright to the image, which qualifies under US law as 'fair use'. This is what I've done here to be able to use the image.

Excellent work. Like the name and the fact that you'd managed to color it. May I use this in a Halo book series I am working on? Likely an original group of prototypes which led to the Sabre, now brought back in time of crisis. Difference being that those are more heavily armed and faster than the Sabre, but less maneuverable.
